I did not attend junior school. I received my bite on the night before my seventh birthday, and spent much of the next five years in and out of both Muggle and Wizarding hospitals. I did not expect a letter from Hogwarts to arrive, who would possibly allow a werewolf to mix with other children? But it did, and I arrived at Hogwarts on September 1st 1971 and my whole life changed forever. For the better? I certainly felt so at the time. But now? I’m not sure, perhaps things would have been different if I had not been there, had not met James or Peter or Sirius…
I left Hogwarts with a head full of knowledge and a heart fit to burst with pride, at my NEWTs results, and at the love and affection of four very dear friends. I was not prepared for the ways of the world outside the walls of Hogwarts and away from Albus Dumbledore’s caring eyes. And now? I am the only one left, first James and Lily… and then Peter, in my heart the Peter I once knew and loved as a brother is still dead, and now Sirius… he's not the Sirius I knew at school... 12 years in Azkaban will do that to a man... they’re all gone. And once again, I’m alone… Segregated, shut away from society. But how much of it is forced and how much is my own doing?
